Uptown will be part of "Open House Chicago" again this year, the weekend when venues all over the city are open to the public. The slogan is "200 COOL PLACES. 48 HOURS. GO. IT'S FREE." If you're a history and architecture buff (we are), it's a red-letter weekend. It takes place October 15-16, and if you can, enjoy it! It allows you to peek behind the scenes where you don't normally get to go.
Here in Uptown, the featured sites are:
- Garfield-Clarendon Model Railroad Club, in the Clarendon Park Fieldhouse (Clarendon and Sunnyside), Saturday and Sunday, 10am-4pm. Site details are here.
