League Night Comes To Uptown Arcade on Mondays

Want to take your love of arcade games to a new level? Join League Night, coming to Uptown Arcade (4830 North Broadway) this Monday. Uptown Arcade is a bring your own food, play games for free, and buy drinks from the bar establishment.

Per the press release:

"The organizers behind the popular weekly League Night on Wednesdays at Logan Arcade will also be hosting Mondays at Uptown Arcade. The first evening of friendly competition will begin July 11th, at 8PM and will run the course of the night. Players are encouraged to come alone, with friends, or with a team.

Games will be played in a non-elimination format, and teams can drop in and out as they come and go. League Night has been recognized in the Chicago Reader’s Best of Chicago, and was also picked as one of the best activities for geeks in the city by Timeout. Participation is free, and players of all skill levels are invited to attend.

League Night will, of course, focus on Killer Queen Arcade, a rare 10-player arcade game created by Bumblebear Games, that pits two teams of five against each other as warring hives, battling for resources and territory. Killer Queen has been described as a cross between Joust, Super Mario Brothers, and Starcraft."
