Chicago's only all-vintage monthly market is happening again this Sunday. Vintage Garage features more than 100 vendors, all just waiting for you with items including jewelry, furniture, clothing, decor, art, and the just plain weird and wonderful. See our post from the April Garage for some examples of what you could find.
This month's theme is Mid-Century Modern. Think Mad Men, think Charles Eames, think liquor carts in the office, Bewitched, new hi-fis, and Doris Day movies.
Vintage Garage is in its fifth season and takes place on the third Sunday of every month between April and October. The doors open at 10am and it goes until 5pm. $5 gets you inside the covered garage, where you don't have to worry about getting rained on or getting sunburned (and this being Chicago, it could go either way).
The garage is at 5051 North Broadway, next to Sun Wah and steps from the Argyle Red Line stop.
Check out their Flickr feed from April's show, where more than 3000 shoppers showed up and there were three ramps of vendors strutting their stuff. More information is available on the Vintage Garage website.
