Update: A very sad note from Langdon's sister, posted 2/22 in the evening:
"It is with deep sadness that I have to let you all know that my one and only brother, Langdon, has passed away. He was found by CPD during a wellness check at around 5:30 this evening. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to each and everyone who shared my post, wrote an encouraging word, tossed up a prayer, passed out a flyer and gave me a hug. You are an incredible network of people and I am grateful to each of you. We are hoping to do a memorial service this weekend and I will be posting that information as soon as I have it solidified. Again, thank you all so much and hug your siblings a little tighter. They are a blessing."
A worried sister posted to Facebook:
"Today we learned that my brother, Langdon [Hutchinson], has been missing since Thursday night. We got a call from him that night and he was clearly depressed and using and that was our last contact. As many of you know, he has struggled with many demons in his life. He has made a strong effort to right his ship over the last 18 months but is struggling and homeless right now.
He has had no contact with anyone since last Thursday (we know this because we have access to his phone records) and we have reached out to his closest friend, his boss and his sponsor.
Those of you in Chicago, please share his picture with anyone you know in the Uptown/Montrose Harbor area. That is his last known whereabouts. A missing persons report has been filed with CPD. Say a prayer for us, please. It has been a tough day."
If you know anything or see him, please call 9-1-1 or the Area North Special Victims Unit at 312-744-8266.
