Wilson Avenue Closed For L Construction Next Week

The mild fall and winter weather is enabling the CTA to get ahead of itself on construction of the new Wilson L tracks.  It's possible that trains will be able to run on the new tracks by late winter. To that end, Wilson Avenue will be closed between Broadway and Clifton next week (Monday, December 14 through Friday, December 18) between 9am and 4pm so that a canopy can be built on the platform currently underway. Here are details:

Impact to Community: 

• Wilson Ave. will be closed to vehicular traffic but open to pedestrian traffic 
• Limits of operation will be between Wilson & Broadway to Wilson & Clifton
• Station entrance at Wilson will remain in operation 
• Bus #78 will be rerouted and will not stop at Wilson
• Service drive for Truman College will remain accessible 
• There will be dust/noise while work is being performed
