A Hairy Day for Uptown Man Charged With Theft

An Uptown man was charged Friday with stealing a suitcase from the O'Hare baggage claim which contained human hair wigs for cancer patients.  The wigs are said to be worth over $90,000.  The alleged theft took place Tuesday afternoon.

Noel Fulgencio, age 35, was arrested on the 3000 block of West Lawrence yesterday.  The police were able to locate the suitcase and its contents, and charged him with "One felony count of Theft Control Intent - $10K<$100K."  Mr. Fulgencio was scheduled to appear in bond court at 26th & California today.

Back in the olden days, we remember attendants at the airports whose job is was to make sure that every bag taken from the baggage claim had a matching claim ticket.  Seems like it would be a good system to put back into place.  We hear of these stories every month.
