Chase Park Announces Its Summer Entertainment Schedule

Nothing official from Chicago's citywide "Movies In The Parks" yet about the 2015 schedule, but Chase Park, 4701 North Ashland, will be having movies, concerts and parties.  Here's the schedule, as announced today by CPAC:
  • Movies in the Park: Back to the 80's!  Take a step back in time with these fun movie selections from the 80's! Bring a blanket and a picnic, or grab a snack from the CPAC concession stand (all purchases fund park improvements). All movies start at dusk, but come by early for some pre-film fun for the family!
  • Footloose, Thursday, June 25. A city teenager moves to a small town where rock music and dancing have been banned, and his rebellious spirit shakes up the populace.
  • 16 Candles, Thursday, July 23. A young girl's "sweet sixteenth" birthday becomes anything but special as she suffers from every embarrassment possible.
  • Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Thursday, August 27. Two seemingly dumb teens struggle to prepare a historical presentation with the help of a time machine.
  • Family Concerts.  Enjoy these fun, free evenings of music at Chase Park and some of our satellite playlots featuring local musical artists. Family friendly!
  • Filbert Playlot: June 22nd, 5:45pm
  • Zatterberg Playlot: June 29th, 5:45pm
  • Chase Park: July 24th, 6:30pm
  • Teen Night Out in the Park, July 31st, 6:00pm. This evening will be filled with fun and constructive activities for Chase Park's fantastic teen community
  • About Face Theater Presents: 15 Breaths, August 6th & 7th, 6:30pm.  About Face Theater creates exceptional, innovative, and adventurous plays to advance the national dialogue on gender and sexual identity, and to challenge and entertain audiences in Chicago, across the country, and around the world. More information on this production coming soon!
  • Party in the Park, August 15th, 1:00-4:00pm. Give summer one last Hurrah at this family fun festival at Chase Park. This free event will feature face-painting, arts & crafts, music, and lots of other great activities.
