A Few Good Judges Needed In The 46th Ward

From Ald. Cappleman, who also serves as the 46th Ward's Democratic Committeeman:

"The 46th Ward currently has a limited number of open spots for Democrat Election Judges for the February 24 municipal election.

If you are interested in serving as an election judge, please call 312.725.8683 to schedule a time to stop by the campaign headquarters [4660 N Broadway] to fill out an application.

To learn more about the the responsibilities of election judges, please visit the Chicago Board of Elections website.

All interested parties must complete the application process no later than this Sunday, January 11th."

We know from experience that being an election judge is a hard job, and Election Day is a very long day, indeed, from getting to the polling place at 5AM, to putting everything back the way it was and sending in the votes after the polls close.  It's easily a 15-hour day, sometimes longer.  But you leave knowing that you've helped run a good polling place and helped your neighbors exercise their right to vote.
