In early December, the police held
an open house for recovered stolen property taken from in and around the Uptown area by burglars. According to a press release, "The below listed items remain unclaimed and Area North detectives continue to seek their rightful owners.

Anyone who has been the victim of a burglary in the above mentioned area, and believes that any of these items may be theirs, is encouraged to contact the Bureau of Detectives – Area North Property Crimes at (312) 744-8263. Please be advised that all persons wishing to claim any of the listed stolen items must be able to provide proof of purchase or ownership."
