Aodoke Asian Bistro Opens; Special Offer for UU Readers

As Uptown Update posted last February, the Aodake Sushi & Steakhouse suburban restaurant chain is bringing something a little different to Uptown:  a "casual concept" Asian Bistro, featuring some of the most popular dishes from the longstanding restaurants' menus.

As of this week, they're open!  It's a soft opening while they get the feel of things, as happens with all new restaurants.  The Grand Opening will take place on Thursday, July 31st, but if you're curious, stop on by now.

Owner Amy Tu has a special offer for UU readers:  Stop in anytime before July 31st, mention Uptown Update, and get a free coffee or iced tea for checking them out.

Aodoke features free WiFi, Hot Spot service, both Clark Street and Leland Street entrances, pastries, coffee/teas, and three meal service daily.

Aodake is located in the former Blue Ocean space at 4650 North Clark, next to Ch'ava.  It's open seven days a week, for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  The hours are 6:30am to 9pm.  The phone number is 773-271-9889.  There's a small parking lot on the Clark side, and meter-free parking on the 4700 block of Clark (west side only).
