Vote On The New "Argyle Identifier"

As part of the new plan for Argyle street, there will be another "identifier" set up in a pedestrian concrete island in the middle of Broadway at Argyle.  There are two designs available and Ald. Osterman invites the community to vote on which one they prefer.  See closer photos of the two designs and vote here.  Voting is open through Monday, April 7th.

In addition, Argyle's business district is scheduled to be transformed into a "shared street" this summer. You can read more about it here and at Edgeville Buzz here.  It sounds a bit chaotic to us, so we're reserving judgment until we see how it works out.

  1. Can we vote to have that horrid "Asia on Argyle" sign taken down?

  4. Are you serious? Write or call Harry Osterman's office. Show up at the safety meeting today at 1:00 and talk to him about it. Did you go to the meeting about Argyle's streetscape last July? Or is this armchair activism? If you don't like what's happening, get your critical self away from the computer and either change it or find out why you can't.
