Early Voting, Now Near You

Early voting for the March 18th primary election is going on now through Saturday, March 15th. You can vote Monday through Saturday, 9am to 5pm at locations citywide (even Sundays at a few locations). Each ward has its own polling place, but you don't have to vote in the ward you live in.  Vote anywhere in the city.  And bring a government-issued photo ID -- you'll need to show it.

The Uptown location is the Truman College lobby, 1145 W Wilson; other nearby polling places include

  • Merlo Library (644 W Belmont)
  • Welles Park (2333 W Sunnyside), which has Sunday hours, 9am-3pm
  • Broadway Armory (5917 N Broadway).

In addition to the primary office holders, there are several referendum questions on the ballot, which you can see on your sample ballot, available on the Chicago Elections website.

If you'd like to make a better-informed opinion about the people who are running for judge, you can check out ratings by the various bar associations on VoteForJudges.org.
