Ceres' Table: Four Bib Gourmands, Four Years In Business, Now Closed & Moving

Ceres Table celebrated its fourth anniversary and its fourth Bib Gourmand last weekend.

Then it closed its doors.

In a message on its Facebook page, the owners tell why:

We served our last dinner at 4882 N. Clark Street this past Saturday, 11/30/13, by celebrating our four years of fabulousness and the award of our fourth Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand.

We have loved our space and our neighborhood, so it was a bittersweet decision to move on, although, ultimately, one that we are very excited about.

We are joining in partnership and moving to a new location. As information becomes available, we'll share it on our website and Facebook page.

We are grateful for our staff, both current and former, for helping bring to life our vision for serving delicious food in an understated and comfortable setting.

We are also grateful to you who have loved our restaurant and have told your friends and shared our story.

We will honor all gift certificates in our new space. We are in conversation with Groupon about honoring those and extending the deadline by however much time we are closed.

We look forward to seeing you in the New Year!

Warmly,
Giuseppe and Carolyn

  1. Very sad to see one of Uptown's best restaurants leave. Great "date night" place.
