The Knot Is Tied

Congratulations to James Cappleman and Richard Thale, who each gained a husband and 1138 additional rights today after 22 years together. The alderman sent in the above photo with the note:  "We got married today in Seattle at 1pm Pacific Time." Congratulations, fellas!

  2. Congrats.

It's an amazing time we're living in.

    Gay Marriage.

Pope Francis who could only have been brought to prominence by the direct intervention of the Holy Spirit. Imagine a Pope who preaches love and forgiveness instead of clerical lawyers focused on rules and Prada shoes.

Twenty years ago who would have thought such things were going to happen so quickly.

I found this little gem in my email a little while ago.

You have to watch it to the end, but while at first it doesn't appear appropriate it surely is.

Goodnight and Joy Be With You All. May God Be With You Both.

  4. I'm in my 50s and first counted gay people among friends when I was in college. Homosexuality had never been explained to me. It was just something I knew intuitively. At the time I thought they would always remain sort of a societal joke, or stereotype, and had no expectations for them beyond that. The mere idea that one day they could marry someone of the same sex they truly loved would have made me laugh at the time, like some people once did when Kennedy said we were going to go to the moon. Well, the Eagle Has Landed for our country now after an endless series of small steps and a now a giant leap for "man"kind. And I am so happy for it. Warmest wishes to two wonderful, loving men committed to our community.
