Hollenberg & Co., who restore and restyle furniture and fixtures into custom pieces, has opened at 4609 North Clark, a few doors north of Wilson and across from the Staples strip mall. Opening Day was Friday, October 4th, and the store is open 10am-6pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
A reader says, "Really cool refinished and reclaimed furniture pieces." A quick look at Hollenberg & Co.'s Facebook page shows mid-century pieces refreshed into something a little more modern, and old church windows awaiting a metamorphosis.
There will be a "Halloween Bash Grand Opening" on Friday, November 1. Welcome to the neighborhood, Hollenberg & Co.! We wish you much success here.
UU Note: Our reader tells us she's heard there's been some interest in converting the long-empty Heidelmeier building at 4611 N Clark, right next door, into a gym. Seems like a good use of space to us. As someone researched a couple years ago, that building has been around since 1905 and was built to be a "steam heated garage and repair shop." We imagine its architects might enjoy that body work of a different sort might be going on in the same location 108 years later.
This is a great addition to the neighborhood. Welcome!
ReplyDeleteShillerites and ONErs - BEHOLD! The first beachhead of commercial gentrification has landed on the 4600 N block! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
ReplyDelete...now we all have to support them!
ReplyDeleteFor a small business like this it's all about support and getting tons and tons of customers. There is a furniture store by my house that was just taken over by customers because they were a good furniture store. They were the best custom furniture Utah county store. There furniture was so unique and made so well!
