Argyle Night Market Begins At 4pm

Only three more Thursday nights until the end of the Argyle Night Market!  Today's weather is gorgeous, perfect for browsing and buying.  Ald. Osterman's weekly newsletter says:

"Join us and enjoy local produce and local food from area restaurants. This week's performances from Kuumba Lynx, Connect Force, and Elephant Rebellion will be in honor and memory of Johnny "Vietnam" Nguyen, who passed away last summer saving a friend in Lake Mendota in Madison, WI. Johnny was an influential and talented young person from the Argyle neighborhood.
  • Produce Vendors:  Dotson Farms, Farmer Nick, Armstrong Farms, Tai Nam Grocery
  • Bakery, Grocery, and Gift products:  Tai Nam Grocery, Mother Butter’s Popcorn, Phoenix Bean LLC, First Fruits, Pure Honey, Beijo de Chocolat, Xong Xong, Karl’s Craft Soups, Empanada Argentina, Paradise Products, Blessings
  • Local Restaurants:  BaLe, Tank Noodle, Patisserie P, Sun Wah Bar-B-Cue, Hai Yen
The market runs from 4:00 - 8:00pm on Argyle between Winthrop and Sheridan through September 19, rain or shine. For more information check out Explore Uptown's website here."

UU Note:  The last Night Market, on September 19th, is something you won't want to miss.  The entertainment will be provided by Ric Addy's band, Iggy Yoakam & His Famous Pogo Ponies.  (Ric is the owner of Shake Rattle & Read and the band has been together for twenty years.)  Things will wrap up with a Parade of Lanterns down Argyle Street.
