Sad News (Again) At Lakeview Towers
We've heard from many readers that there was heavy police activity this morning around 6am at Wilson and Clarendon, including helicopters and news crews on the scene.
Sadly, the information we have gotten is that someone jumped or fell from the building at 4550 N Clarendon and passed away from injuries sustained.
Our thoughts and condolences are with the person's friends and family, who will forever feel the loss.
Update: CBS News reports that "An Uptown neighborhood man fell to his death from a high-rise building early Tuesday. Joseph Aning, 66, apparently fell from the 13th floor of a building in the 800 block of West Wilson Street, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. Authorities responded about 5:25 a.m., and believe he may have jumped out of a window, police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said."

Isn't this the building where the cops raided a guy's apartment for weed and he jumped recently?
ReplyDeleteCoincidences happen all the time, but I hope this people flying out windows in this building stops.
Unless some of the bangers who hang out in front of that building would like to take flying lessons. Maybe make it a "TwoFer". One banger jumps and lands on another.
Yes, I know some of you may think that comment is inappropriate for a variety of reasons and you may be right, but it would be one way to reduce crime.
McGruff the crime dog just ain't cutting it.
What is going on in that building. 2 people have either jumped or fallen to their death. It's really hard to fall out because of how the windows are made. I'm not understanding.
ReplyDeleteI'm at a(n) awe! 2 people jump to their death and its not been a good month. Don't know what's going on, but the spirit of suicide is heavy. Truly praying for LVT
