Opening Reception For Art Project Tonight

A reminder that tonight between 6pm and 9pm is the Opening Reception of the Ten Thousand Ripples project show, Transparent Depictions, featuring the work of the Uptown Artist-In-Residence, Trisha Oralie Martin, and creations by community workshop participants:  Iris DeSalvo, Scott Hemsey, Jimmy Wilnewic, Eden Unluata, Colette Wright Adams, and PC Gooden-Smiley.

The exhibit will also be open Saturday and Sunday between noon and 3pm.

It all takes place at the Uptown Arts Center in the beautiful Preston Bradley Center, 941 W Lawrence, on the 4th Floor.

After the exhibition, the very interesting pieces of art will be moved to Loyola Museum of Art, and will be on loan there until September.

The website for Ten Thousand Ripples, which is probably best known from bringing the Buddha heads to communities throughout Chicago, is here.
