Shots Fired, No One Hit

The warm weather is bringing out the thugs.  Stay alert.

At around 2:20pm, a silver car driving past Lawrence and Sheridan fired a series of shots.  No one was hurt, but some store windows and a parked car were hit.  Video footage of the car is in hands of police, and there were a lot of witnesses.

Could have easily been a person at that busy intersection.  A ton of police from both the 19th and 20th Districts were on the scene quickly.  So was an ambulance, which was thankfully not needed.

Uptown gangs are known for quick retaliation.  Keep an eye out for any suspicious activity and call 911 if you feel it is safe to do so.

  1. yea it was kinda messed up i was not outside but heard like 5 or six shots then silence for a few seconds and then about 4 more shots ....and then sirens. Amazing that no one was injured. There were all kinds of people in the neighborhood...a line of teenagers waiting for the Fantabuloso concert at the Aragon. Sad...
