Need Help Appealing Your Property Taxes?

Help with Property Tax Appeals. Commissioner Bridget Gainer's office will be available to assist with your property tax appeal. You may have a reason to appeal your taxes if you believe one of the following is true: 1) the value of surrounding similar properties are not in line with yours, 2) the proposed assessed value of your property is higher than its actual value, or 3) the property description is in error and it results in a higher property tax amount.

Bring a copy of your most recent tax bill (the yellow form) and any additional documents (such as a recent appraisal) that would help with your case. A staff member from Commissioner Gainer's office will be available to assist you at the following times:

• When: Monday, April 15 & Wednesday, April 24 from 11am - 5pm
• Where: 46th Ward Office, 4544 N Broadway
