Stealing an idea from Welles Park Bulldog's Patrick Boylan, we showed up at Montrose Harbor on New Year's morning to take a picture. The first sunrise of 2013 wasn't especially beautiful (yes, this is a color photo), but we look forward to seeing what the new year holds for Uptown. Will the hoped-for financing to restore the Uptown Theater happen by year-end? Will there be construction at the site of Maryville Academy rather than long-empty buildings? Will the new Wilson L be underway? We'll know at this time in 2014.
It was the first time we've slept in in twelve years, thus missing this event. Thanks UU for being there and for sharing.
