Fall French Market in Uptown This Weekend

You don't have to go to France to shop like you're there.  Just go to 613 West Bittersweet this weekend:

"Experience the tastes, sounds, art, and antiques of a traditional French marketplace at the eighth annual Lycée Français de Chicago Fall French Market. The weekend festival is packed with entertaining family activities, French cooking demonstrations, and holiday shopping opportunities. An array of nearly 100 vendors participates each year, selling the best of French merchandise and cuisine.

Get inspired and infuse a little global flair into your upcoming holiday cooking as renowned Chicago-area chefs serve up free cooking demos with recipes ideal for entertaining. Parents can snack on freshly made crepes and baguettes as they shop for one-of-a-kind home décor items, art & antiques, local artisans’ jewelry, and clothing. While their parents peruse the market aisles, children ages 3 through 10 can enjoy magic, music, and other cultural activities at the supervised children’s pavilion."

  1. Dare I say "Vive La Resistance"?

I shall put on my pretentious beret and buy some baguettes at this event.

    Parlez Vous Buccaneer?

  2. This is great event with lots of yummy food to have there or take home. Many of your neighbors will be vendors with jewelry, candles, children's books and clothing, and a wine auction. Check out their website and facebook for a preview. And oui, you will be able to buy a beret in case you don't have one. à bientôt!
