Shredded Words, Recycled Bytes

Rep. Greg Harris is sponsoring a document shredding and electronics recycling event this Saturday, and while it's not in Uptown, he's one of our reps, and hey, it's free, and hey, all the parts that can be recycled will be.

"Do you have boxes of documents that you need to get rid of?  How about old cell phones or computers? On Saturday August 11, 2012 from 9AM to 12PM Representative Greg Harris and Alderman Pat O'Connor along with AT&T will be hosting a Shred Day at 5333 N. Western Ave.

Do some summer cleaning and protect your identity by shredding unwanted personal, financial or confidential documents for FREE. Please remember to remove all your documents from binders and to remove any paper clips as well before coming out to the trucks.

Also bring your unwanted electronics and have them recycled too. Laptops, PCs, servers, monitors, data storage devices, printers, fax/copy machines, cell phones, VCRs, DVD players, video cameras and game consoles are among the types of electronic equipment that will be collected for recycling at the event. See you this weekend."
