Another Lake Shore Drive Accident

In an eerie coincidence, there was a serious accident this afternoon in the same area of Lake Shore Drive where the pedestrian was killed late last night.  According to the Tribune:

A church van and a car crashed this afternoon on Lake Shore Drive in the North Side's Uptown neighborhood, injuring a half a dozen people, including a child.

The vehicles collided about 2:55 p.m. in the 4500 block of North Lake Shore Drive, according to Chicago Fire Department spokeswoman Meg Ahlheim. 

Ambulances took six people to hospitals, she said. One was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious-to-critical condition while a child, possibly an infant, was one of two people taken in fair-to-serious condition to Saint Joseph Hospital, she said.
