Sam Toia proudly says in his Leona's restaurant bio that he barely finds time to vote ... yet he's gone far in the city.
He was a member of Rahm's transition team as an "Outreach Advisor." Then he was appointed to the Zoning Board of Appeals a year ago (the entity that has never once in its history gone against an alderman's wishes). Now he's been named head of the Illinois Restaurant Association.
Amazing what can be achieved when you make friends and buy a few houses. Even if you struggle to find the time to vote.
