Pegasus Players Offers Neighborhood Special "Pay What You Can" Prices This Week

Did you know that, after a long absence, Pegasus Players are back in Uptown?

Those of us who mourned their exit from the auditorium at Truman College can now find them just a few blocks away, at the former Hull House, in the same venue that Black Ensemble Theater called home for many years, at 4520 North Beacon.  Shows are at 8pm Thursdays through Saturdays, and 3pm on Sundays.  Parking is available.

The current show is Into the Continuum, which plays through June 17th.  "Named by The New York Times as one of the top ten plays of 2005, In The Continuum follows the lives of Abigail and Nia, one from South Central LA and the other from Harare, Zimbabwe, as each one learns that they have contracted HIV. As the story unfolds, these two women take parallel and darkly comic journeys as they confront family and friends with their tragic news, learning to navigate the new course set before them." It's been recommended by Time Out Chicago.

Sweetening the pot, Pegasus is offering an UPTOWN NEIGHBORS SPECIAL this week:

Pay What You Can Thursday-Saturday June 7-9 at 8PM and Sunday June 10 at 3PM.  Please call or check in at box office with code: UPTOWN.
Regular Ticket Prices - $25 General Public.  Thursdays and Sundays: $12 for Students and Industry, and $15 for Seniors.  Fridays and Saturdays:  $15 for Student/Industry and $20 for Seniors.
Pegasus has a long and storied history here in Uptown.  Go see a play!

  1. I went to the showing tonight and the performances were wonderful. Very intense and very real. The performers, Sam Bailey and Ashleigh Lathrop were exquisite. I felt that the performance was powerful, alarming, sad and so close to home. Thank you ladies for the message and the reminder that this world is truly jacked up for some of us and that we have so much more to do.
