Garbage Day Is Friday

All of Uptown's wards, as well as some of our neighbors, are going to go to grid-based garbage collection -- as opposed to ward-based collection -- beginning June 11.  We'll be the first in the city to try out this new system.   According to the above graphic, from the Tribune, Trash Day will be Friday for all of Uptown.  Read all about it in the Trib.

Note:  If you live in a building of five or more units, you pay for a private waste company and won't be affected by this.  But if your trash is collected by the City of Chicago, you'll be part of this pilot program.
