... Followed By Love Boat Themed Pub Crawl

If the glow of volunteering isn't enough, how about the glow of alcoholic libations from nine different Uptown watering holes?  Uptown United/Business Partners are sponsoring a pub crawl right after the Day of Service, and all volunteers will get 15% off the price of the crawl.  It's the first annual Love Crawl, with a Love Boat theme, and costumes, and is "to celebrate Gay Pride Month right here in Uptown. This event will be co-sponsored by Brotherhood of the Phoenix, Windy City Times and Stella Beer with great deals on drinks at 9 local Uptown bars including: SoFo Tap, The Spot, Nick's Uptown, Bar of Buena, Annoyance Theater, Uptown Lounge, Fat Cat, Crew Bar and Grill, and Big Chicks!"

You can find out more information about the crawl, which goes from 2pm-9pm, here.  Registration is at Crew, 4804 N Broadway, and there will be two trolleys and a costume contest.  Space is limited, so sign up early.

Mmmm, can't wait to see trolleys full of Julie McCoys, Gophers, Captain Stubings and very special guest stars Charo and Florence Henderson rolling through the 'hood.  Don't come as niece Vicki, though.  She was a show-killer.
