BOOM Scouting Out Sites In Uptown

"Boom," a development company known for its retirement communities geared towards the LGBT population, is scouting out locations in Chicago and according to Curbed, the three top spots are Andersonville, Lakeview, and Uptown. Read more here

  1. As pretty as the pictures are, BOOM has yet to build a single unit at any of its "developments."

  2. No matter how you view it, it would be a wonderful thing to have a retirement community for us in Chicago. I will be proud to live there.

  3. I would love and welcome a retirement resource center and housing for seniors on the empty Maryville property. That would be one project few would find fault with.

  4. It really would be a great place for such a thing. Close proximity to the park, lakefront, bird sanctuary, grocery store, transportation, target. That's a population that spends most of its money in the community where they live.
