Alternatives Hosts Clothing & Supplies Drive For Homeless Youth

To kick off the New Year and celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Alternatives, Inc. will be hosting a Clothes & Supplies Drive to collect items to donate to local shelters that work with homeless youth.  The event will take place on Monday, January 16th from 10am-2pm.

The day of, there will also be an hour-long forum about different elements that affect, sustain, or can be solutions to Youth Homelessness.  The forum is open to all communities and will be facilitated by individuals who work with homeless youth in Chicago.  This event will be going on alongside an annual event hosted by Connect Force, a Hip-Hop Arts and Education group at Alternatives Inc. (http://www.alternativesyouth.org/connect_force) that will include arts and educational activities about youth and adult activism as they relate to the spirit of MLK Jr.
