Here Comes The Judge (And She's Taking Numbers)

Nice to know, and good for Judge Cunningham!  From Sneed's column in the Sun-Times earlier this week:

Appellate Court Judge Joy Cunningham, who is running for the Illinois Supreme Court, saw red last week.

Witness ’em: While waiting at a red light last Thursday at Clark Street and Montrose Avenue at about 11:20 p.m., Judge Cunningham quickly copied down the license plate number of a red Camry which had taken off after hitting a bicyclist. She also called the police and waited with the cyclist until help arrived.

Sign ’em: So it should come as no surprise the cyclist, John Gilmour, wanted to sign Cunningham’s nominating petition after he found out she was a candidate. “He said he wanted to help someone who had helped him,” said a source.
