Columbus Day Closings

Monday is Columbus Day, a federal holiday.  Lots of closings (public schools, courts, post office; no garbage pick-up; some banks are closed as well). Of course you still have to pay Chicago's parking meters.

From Ald. Cappleman's newsletter:

"Office Closed for Columbus Day Weekend. Saturday, Oct. 8 through Monday, Oct. 10. The 46th Ward Office will be closed on Columbus Day weekend to take advantage of required furlough days."
