"The Dream Starts Now"

Another uplifting Uptown video from the talented David Stratis.

  1. Fantastic! What is the music? I'm nuts for soundtracks and it's somewhat familiar, but I just can't place it. Thanks for this.

  2. Sadly, moved out of Uptown (needed to down-size dollars) in April; stayed to insure I could vote in the Aldermanic run-off. Lived happily in Uptown for 6-years. One Saturday afternoon making my way to the Post Office a door to the Uptown Theatre was open because workers were in-side; got to take a good-long look; such beauty; more than I could possibly "dream of". I'll never forget Uptown.

  3. Yes nice to see a positive video. Its like Uptown is getting ready for a title fight.

    Go Uptown!!!!!!
The city wins when Uptown is doing well and the only way that will happen is when the Uptown Theatre is restored and Lawrence House is reconstituted into something other than a den of sin.

  4. It's nice to see Dave Stratis is back with his delightfully well done videos.

As for the dream well let's just say that we in Uptown are taking it one day at a time. Even with all the ridiculous heat recently our gangbanging friends have been quiet. I hope it's not just random coincidence.

Now with the Prez coming to celebrate his 50th BDAY and other changes planned perhaps we can say our long local nightmare is over and start wearing WIN* buttons.

  5. List of songs about Chicago.

I am personally fond of "The Eggplant that Ate Chicago".

Or Margot and the Nuclear "On a freezing Chicago Street".
