Does Your Dog Like Coffee And Donuts?

From Clarendon Park Neighborhood Association:

"This Sunday from 9am-11am, we will be hosting a Grand Opening of the fabulous (and still unnamed) Dog Park on Marine Dr. between Montrose and Wilson.  Please bring your dog and enjoy some coffee and donuts provided by CPNA.

We also will have a list of possible Dog Park names for you to vote on, a chance for you to sign up as a volunteer to assist in the upkeep of the park, and possibly some give-aways from our area Dog businesses.

Please email us with any questions or if you would like to be a volunteer for the park. And please pass this on to other Dog owners in the neighborhood."

UU Note: The dog park is located between Lake Shore Drive and Marine Drive, just east of Sunnyside.

  1. "Claredon Bark" would seem to keep with the naming conventions of other dog parks, not that I'm necessarily a fan of that one.

  2. I like Puptown a little more than Clarendon Bark, but both are very nice.

  3. Puptown is a fine name, but already in use, just a few blocks north. www.puptown.org

  4. Dangit! Well, I am not a dog owner so I plead ignorance. I just love a good pun.

  6. I suggest Clarendog Park or Clarendog Bark

  7. Why does this area get a new dog park? There are 2 dog beaches right there, AND the other park that is already called "Puptown." That's 4 dog parks within a mile? Doesn't make any sense.

  8. Dear 899ebfbc-ba0a-11e0-8485-000bcdcb5194.... because, every year, no matter what we do. this thing called FALL, WINTER and SPRING come to Chicago.... and, as some one that obviously does not own a dog, I will share with you.. having a location within walking distance for an animal whose steps are only about 4 inches long, is a big deal... going to the dog beach or walking 8 blocks to the next dog park is not a realistic option when the weather sucks.. so dont be a hater, be a lover! come watch the dogs and make some friends... they are a pretty cool and laid back group!
