Open House For Artists & A.C.E. Fans Today

From John Burks, Creative Director of Artist Central Exchange:

Hello friends and fellow artists!  We've been provided the upstairs lounge and back deck of Hopleaf, a local gastropub located about a 1/2 mile north of Artist Central Exchange, during Andersonville Midsommerfest, this Saturday from 1pm-4pm.

Michael, the owner of Hopleaf, has graciously requested that we started utilizing this space monthly to host the A.C.E. afterparties, as well as, other events that celebrate art and culture. This opportunity could not come at a greater time for me, as I'm organizing a monthly series entitled "Guest House", where the ACE takes over a local establishment (in downtown, Bucktown, Lakeview, etc), pairs with a local non-profit, with the goal of raising awareness and funds for that cause. This Saturday will merely be a "mixer", where everyone can come share ideas, view samplings of our artwork, and make folks aware of whatever causes you're currently supporting (or you feel need more attention). In the future, we envision having a silent auction items, and giving a percentage of any sold art to that non-profit.
  • Come meet other culturally-rich individuals
  • Share info on non-profits who might want to co-host "Guest House"
  • Help formulize ideas around the "Guest House" concept
  • View artwork and jewelry from Artist Central Exchange
  • Enjoy great food & the best beer selection in Chicago
We'll also raise money for our FREE Youth Creative Workshops taught by Pure Art Chicago, with a donation box on hand.If you cannot attend, but are interested in supporting future "Guest House" events, let me know.
