It seems she's open to new ideas and thinking outside the box. Perhaps it's a step in the right direction for the changes the residents of the community around the college would like to see at Truman, like easier access across campus; use of the Truman swimming pool in exchange for the $10,000,000 in TIF property taxes that homeowners just invested into the college, which included a rehab of the pool; and better security. It'll be interesting to see how a new college president, in a ward with a new alderman, works out. We wish her luck.
Like I said before about this--new opportunities abound, and I strongly encourage the surrounding block clubs' leadership to make plans together to meet with Dr. Romali and Alderman Cappleman. There is much to discuss and new pages to turn.
