Enjoy Magnolia Cafe On A Groupon

The food, the wine, the patio, the weather!  If you haven't tried Magnolia Cafe (1224 West Wilson) yet, this is a great opportunity.  Pay $20 for a Groupon and get $40 worth of wonderful food and drink.  The Groupon can be purchased through Sunday (but why wait?).  Check it out here.

  1. Is the patio going to be open this year? Usually it's set up by now.

  2. I'm sure they are waiting for the concrete around the new light poles to be poured. Looks like it will be done in the next couple days so I'm sure they will have it up and running shortly thereafter.

  3. Thank God they no longer serve foie gras... I'm just curious how vegetarian options are available on a menu comprised of steaks, chicken, fish, pork chops, beef tenderloin, and ribs?

Would love to try this place out, I've only lived close to it for years but, well, not very Veg friendly..

  4. Hi! We have never served foie at the restaurant. Perhaps you are thinking of a different place?? As far as vegetarian options, we do have a couple, and tend to change with the season/menu. When you come to dine ask your server and the chef will be happy to accomodate. We also have a couple of seafood dishes for those who are non red meat eaters! Hope this helps!

  5. UptownAction, I've never had a full meal at Magnolia, but I can recommend the french onion soup (huge! just ask for it without bacon), the onion rings, the salads and the desserts. (Yum, the desserts!) Someday I'll have to get an entree, but I've loved everything else and not eating meat hasn't been an obstacle at all.
