The Only Thing Better Than Free Pie Is....

... Free Wine to go with it!  The Uptown Pie Company will celebrate its Grand Opening tomorrow, Saturday, April 16th.  (What we had a few weeks ago was a soft opening -- this is the Grand Opening.)

"The Uptown Pie Company is all set to celebrate its grand opening this Saturday, April 16, 2011 starting at 9AM. The celebration will offer free wine and free pie will supplies last.

People who enjoyed Cupcake Gallery's decadently delicious cupcakes by pastry chef/owner, Darius Williams, will definitely savor the sweet homemade pies coming out of the Uptown Pie Company. He prepares the pies in small batches and rotates flavors as the seasons change. He rotates key lime, bourbon walnut, the traditional favorite Dutch Apple, and more.

If you haven’t had a meal yet, The Uptown Pie Company can serve you a hot savory pie to the likes of savory chicken pot pie, creamy chicken artichoke, or even quiche Lorraine. These delectable pies come in either 6 inches, 9 inches, or slices. The prices range from $14 for a 6 inch pie to $21 for a 9 inch pie. If you like a cup of coffee with that delicious pie, you can get the 5-Dolla Holla. It consists of any slice of pie and a bottomless mug of coffee.

Uptown Pie Company is between the cross streets of Wilson Avenue between Beacon Street and Malden Street. The Red Line “L” stop is there at Wilson. CTA bus #’s 78, 145, and 148 stop right at the front door. The Uptown Pie Company is wheelchair accessible and has free wi-fi. The hours are Tuesday–Friday from 8A–7P, Saturday from 9A-5P, and Sunday from 10A–4P. The Uptown Pie Company is closed on Mondays."
