Chicago Kidical Mass Rides Uptown, Saturday, April 2nd‏

Chicago Kidical Mass will ride Uptown on Saturday, April 2nd. We'll gather in Clarendon Park, 4501 N Clarendon at 11am for a ride from 11:30-12:30.

This ride is being held in conjunction with C3's CycleLogical event for new cyclists in the Clarendon Park fieldhouse.
On Chicago Kidical Mass, kids and parents ride their bikes together through their communities escorted by experienced adult cyclists. On April 2nd we will ride 3.5 miles on quiet residential streets through Uptown. We strive to make the rides safe and festive. Helmets are required and children must
be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

For more ride details see http://www.thechainlink.org/events/kidical-mass-bike-ride.

On April 9th, Kidical Mass will ride Palmer Square.  See details here.

  1. I didn't see a route included in the ride details. Please post one so that drivers can avoid the streets the kids will be riding on.

It might also be a good idea to put up some notices on those streets a few days ahead of time.

People tend to be out and about in their cars running errands about that time. This ride will be a lot safer if drivers are given a better heads up.

  2. Is this officially affiliated with Critical Mass? If not, hope you don't get hit with a lawsuit like all those businesses with "McD" in their names get!

  3. I hope at least the kids are taught to obey traffic laws, something the older massers need help with.
