Because 11 Candidates Just Aren't Quite Enough

Several readers who went in to vote early were handed this little slip of paper.  "May add candidate"?  Seriously?

Seems that Janice V. Thomas, whose name was stricken from the ballot when she defaulted on two hearings before the Board of Elections, really wants to be alderman.  She's filed papers to try to overturn the decision to strike her name.  Time will tell.

  1. And as Alaska showed us last fall, there's always the possibility of a"write-in campaign" for Ms. Thomas.

  2. Unless there are dire circumstances, defaulting on the hearings means she is not capable of being an alderman.
