"Frugal Luxe" Uptown

The "Frugal Luxe" blog visited the wholesale jewelry stores on Clark, between Montrose and Lawrence, and came away impressed. "Don't let the outside appearance of the stores fool you - inside, they are definite goldmines." Read about the deals and more here.

  1. We ladies have said before and will say it again - don't judge a book by its cover! These stores have AMAZING bargains in accessories, casual clothing, costume jewelry and cosmetics. The "bare bones" appearance means "low overhead" thus low prices.

Some of these stores are wholesale-only; others also sell retail. For an interesting and fun way to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon, this is it! (Preceded or followed by a meal at the Anna Maria Pasteria.)

And if you see a gathering of Red Hatters (frequent customers from here and elsewhere), say hello and don't be afraid to ask questions!

  2. First store on "Wholesale Row" at the south end is Clark Fashions. This is probably the one the blogger said was bad.
