A reader sends in the following info from last night:
"Just letting you know, a red Jaguar caught on fire (last night) on the 4600 Block of Magnolia. I don't know whose car it is, but the CFD seems to think someone threw something in the moonroof. You might want to get the word out to your readers."
Update #2: "Car is registered to a far south side address. A definite yes to the cause of the fire, someone threw something in the moonroof. Car not reported stolen."
Update #3: "Car has been ticketed for no city sticker and is being towed away. Completely burned on the inside. Nice job, CFD and CPD. Like I tell my neighbors, the entertainment is always free in Uptown."
Glad to see the car was ticketed for no city sticker!
ReplyDeleteUptown is still keeping it classy with burning red Jaguars.
ReplyDeleteany update on this???
ReplyDeleteCar is long gone.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of my first month in Uptown...a car was burning, and i was freaking out. I then saw a police car standing watch. I asked him why, and he simply shrugged and said "probably for the insurance money".
ReplyDeleteDefinitely not the first time it's happened in Uptown...
