Rain or shine, please come out and join your neighbors for another evening of Positive Loitering tonight, 7-8pm at the corner of Leland and Sheridan. This event is sponsored by the Uptown Chicago Commission. The Dog Treat Dude will be there with a bag of goodies from Soggy Paws for canine loiterers.In light of last night's shooting, there will be an additional positive loitering event at at Sunnyside and Malden, from 7-8pm. Families, pets and residents who want to demonstrate that the streets belong to law abiding citizens, not gangs, are asked to come out and take advantage of the long daylight hours. Refreshments will be served.
As always, the 23rd District police officers are aware of both events and encourage neighbors' participation.
