"Missing" Man Staying At Cornerstone, Found In Lake

The Sun-Times reports that a 45-year-old Cicero man who's been missing from his home since last November was found yesterday when the a fisherman plucked him out of the lake at 6:30am.  Turns out he's been staying at an Uptown shelter all this time.

Staff at that shelter, Cornerstone Community Outreach in Uptown, said Luna often likes to rough it by sleeping at the lakefront.  "He's fallen out of trees a bunch of times, so it doesn't surprise me," said one of Luna's pals, who gave his name only as ''Wally.''  "I'm just glad he's OK."

  1. I wonder if Cornerstone was getting paid by the city to have this man sleep at their shelter while he was really camping out in the park?
