From Ald. Mary Ann Smith's monthly newsletter:
"All 48th Ward Red Line stations now have security cameras at both the station and platforms levels. The cameras were paid for with Homeland Security Funds from the Federal government. Eventually, all stations on the Red Line will be covered." We look forward to these cameras improving the safety at the 46th Ward stations shortly ... unless the money goes for something else, as tends to happen in the 46th Ward.
wouldn't it be great of everyone with a tv had the capability to tune in to a channel to watch the activity in real time from these cameras?
