FYI, for those of you looking for a bike, I have one for sale, now that I purchased a new one. I got the new one at Village on Wells, my sales guy was Eric and a really good sales experience.
Brian~ There's a good mix of people that come out, some bikers, (i.e. fixies, and century riders) along with other people that just like riding a bike and meeting their neighbors. Last ride there about 20 people that came out. There was a nice police presence/escort as part of the agenda is to make our presence known to our non law abiding friends in the "hood". If your looking to meet local Uptowners, this is an easy way to do it. Meg- I bought a great bike from Uptown Bikes 2 years ago. I also have bikes from Village Cycle Center and Working Bikes. There's a guy on CL that sells refurbished bikes out of his garage by the name of Kevin. Depending on your budget and what your looking for, there are lot's of places to go. I moved here last summer and Uptown fascinates me.
I really want to do this! Brian - last time, I saw a good dozen or so people participating. I need to get a bike...
