The Tribune has an article on the
Argyle Street Lunar New Year's Parade on Saturday, and the return of firecrackers along the route to chase away the bad spirits. Read all about it here:
"Lunar Parade Gets Its Bang Back."
Speaking of the parade, we hear that Mare Daley himself will be at Truman College at 11, then will make his way down to Argyle for lunch and parade viewing.
Ritchie and I will probably hit the club first.. have a couple beers, then head over there.
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! That means Wilson Avenue gets a reprieve from all the public drinking for a few hours.
ReplyDeleteDamn,
ReplyDeletewith a little more notice we could have organized a demonstration and picketed Daley with brooms. I'd prefer a pitchfork, but one of his bodyguards is a quasi neanderthal with a room temperature IQ who'd might overreact.
Oh well.
