Dumpsters On The Ground...

...dumpsters on the ground...lookin' like a fool with your dumpsters on the ground!

The 4600 block of Clifton between Wilson and Broadway, still sporting sidewalk-blocking dumpsters on the public way.

  1. NYC is the hometown of our alderbeast. You can see where she gets her asthetic values.

  2. If you remove the dumpsters, what will the vagrants use for cover while urinating in public?

  3. Where is the sidewalk blocked? This photo doesn't seem to be the right one- this looks no worse than Winthrop. I could easily walk past that dumpster using the sidewalk.

  4. NYC would be a blessing to this street. I have visited third world countries better than Clifton.

  6. Give us a break, Molbop. No one is saying all homeless people are ANYTHING. What we are saying is that Clifton is a problem (with plenty of 911 calls to prove it) and the dumpsters are an area where people on that street pee and they're used as cover for drug use and sales.

Read for comprehension before you create a straw man argument.

  7. Molbop give us a break! There is no good reason for the people who hang out on Clifton to piss and shit by the dumpsters. This one block street has shelters with toilets on each side of the street. Across the street is Truman College with even more public toilets.

Homelessness is not an excuse bad toiletry habits when there are 3 sets of toilets within the block.

Ah, Uptown. Home of low standards because we care, is that it? I wonder if low standards really help anyone? Better yet, let's immediately make it all about hating one group of people. Did you both go to the Helen Shiller school of divisive tactics and low standards?

Ironically, the blame goes to 7-11 because they own the dumpsters.

  10. I wonder why 7-11 agreed to keep their dumpsters off the sidewalk BEFORE they got their liquor license? If it wasn't possible, why in heck would they make an agreement that they knew they couldn't keep?

I wonder what that empty back room behind 7-11 that has access by a large door is for?

I wonder if Don Nowotny is going to enforce the law that forbids dumpsters on public sidewalks and ticket the owner of the building who is a big Helen supporter?
