A reader listening to a police scanner writes in:"Sounds like a group of the local P Stone gangbangers went into the Harris Bank near Broadway and Wilson (across from Ald. Shiller's office) and then decided to fight with someone. They showed a gun and threatened to use it. Police gave chase and caught a number of them who were identified by the bank security. They are also on the cctv footage from the bank.
They caught them by Truman at Racine and you guessed it...Sunnyside."
Those little rascals! More fist-a-cuffs! I hope they weren't late for class or meeting their fellow "students" in front of Truman for the usual PM "hit."

ReplyDeleteI overheard two of the security guys at the Montrose Jewel talking about a similar incident there about a year ago.
ReplyDeleteIn that case the bangers were Latin Kings.
Hopefully, the footage of this incident will end up on the web and TV. If only as a likely futile warning to other dumbass bangers.
