A reader sends in this photo of decorations in the "Borders Building" on Broadway and comments
"I'm impressed with how bright this is and how it can be seen from blocks away." It kind of reminds us of Hopper's
Night Hawks, shining like a beacon in an otherwise dark city.
"A glimmer of light and hope in an otherwise dreary place."
ReplyDeleteThis is great. I love when people go all out with the lights, even though only a limited number of people are going to notice it.
ReplyDeleteI love driving slowly along the Outer Drive and looking upwards at those windows in the hirises with lights and trees on display!
ReplyDeleteMost interesting location is downtown at the Marina City corncobs. The residents string lights around their curved balconies in a variety of colors, making a very interesting "building-scape" in December.
